Cartagena's Bolivar Plaza is a beautiful park and central meeting place with trees, benches, fountains, and of course, a majestic statue of the Liberator on his horse. Cervantes Plaza is located just outside the walls of old town.
The historic center of Cartagena is surrounded by 2.5 miles of fortress walls built around 1614 to protect the prosperous inner city from pirates and enemy attacks. It's very beautiful and adds a romantic flair to the old town.
Leaving the boat in Club Nautico Marina turned out to be a great decision. Wonderful people, excellent location, plenty of professionals to complete our various projects.
The approach into Bahia Cartagena was quite picturesque until the skyline was obscured by a torrential downpour and fantastic (but terrifying) lightening.
